You can pay even less when you use my scheduled autoscaling solution based on Azure Automation. It’s very easy to setup and among the most popular Azure contributions on Technet Scriptnet. I have created versions for Azure SQL Database and Azure Analysis Services – which also includes a pausing/unpausing option.
It has been a while since I wrote the blog posts regarding these solutions and I have received a lot of feedback and requests ever since. Some people even improved pieces of code, which makes this a real open source solution. I have now improved the scripts and updated the corresponding blog posts.
